A structured schedule serves as a reliable framework within which children can explore, learn, and grow. While flexibility is important, having a consistent routine provides them with a sense of order, confidence, and a strong foundation for their development.
Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Cliff Lodge valet between 8:30-9:00am and 4:30-5:00pm.
Please consider the weather conditions and the duration of the camp when adapting the list to your needs. Here's a letter to parents that details some of the needs and concerns you will have during the week.
When packing, it’s a good idea to label your belongings with your name to prevent mix-ups.

By providing well-balanced and nutritious meals and snacks, we're not only fueling the campers' bodies for a fun-filled day but also instilling healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime.
Lunch Examples: Grilled chicken wraps with whole wheat tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, and a light dressing. Whole grain pasta with marinara sauce, lean ground turkey, and steamed broccoli. Turkey and avocado whole wheat sandwiches with whole grain mustard. Veggie and cheese quesadillas with whole wheat tortillas. Mixed vegetable medley, Cucumber and carrot sticks with hummus.
Fresh fruit salads, Low-fat Greek yogurt with honey and berries. Sliced watermelon. Apple slices with almond butter.
Snack Options: Trail mix with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and whole grain cereal
Sliced vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, cucumber) with a yogurt-based dip, Fresh fruit cups or skewers (watermelon, grapes, kiwi). Whole grain crackers with cheese or nut butter. Greek yogurt parfaits with layers of yogurt, granola, and fresh berries. Homemade energy bars with oats, dried fruit, nuts, and a touch of honey
Beverages: We offer plenty of water throughout the day to keep campers hydrated. We can also include unsweetened fruit-infused water or herbal iced teas and opt for low-fat milk or dairy alternatives for added calcium.
Considerations:
- Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: We ensure to be aware of any allergies or dietary restrictions among the campers and have alternative options available.
- Variety: Keep the menu diverse to cater to different tastes and preferences.
- Balance: Aim to include a mix of lean proteins, whole grains, healthy fats, and a rainbow of fruits and vegetables for balanced nutrition.
- Portion Control: Keep portions appropriate for the age and activity level of the campers.
- Presentation: Make the meals visually appealing to encourage campers to try new foods.
- Education: Use mealtimes as an opportunity to teach campers about the importance of making nutritious food choices.

- Follow safety instructions provided by camp staff during activities.
- Keep hands and feet to yourself to prevent accidents.
- Always wear appropriate safety gear for activities that require it.
Responsibility:
- Take care of camp equipment, facilities, and personal belongings.
- Clean up after yourself and help keep the camp area tidy.
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by camp staff.
Inclusivity:
- Be inclusive and friendly to everyone, including new campers.
- Include others in games and activities, and avoid excluding anyone.
- Be mindful of the feelings and needs of others.
Honesty:
- Be truthful in your words and actions.
- Take responsibility for mistakes and work towards resolving them.
Listening and Cooperation:
- Follow the directions of camp staff during activities and gatherings.
- Cooperate with your fellow campers in group activities.
- Participate and engage in the camp's programs with enthusiasm.
Bullying and Harassment:
- Bullying, teasing, and harassment are strictly prohibited.
- Report any incidents of bullying or discomfort to a camp counselor or staff member immediately.
Appropriate Behavior:
- Engage in behavior that is respectful and appropriate for a camp setting.
- Avoid using foul language, inappropriate gestures, or actions.
Personal Space:
- Respect the personal space of others and ask for permission before touching or hugging someone.
The summer camp's main location is on level 1 of the Cliff Lodge, taking advantage of its natural surroundings and recreational facilities to provide a well-rounded camp experience.
We use the app Brightwheel for parent communication during summer camp as it enhances transparency, fosters trust, and enables parents to be actively involved in their child's camp journey.
